When talking about the United States, we can say that it is a fairly democratic country. However, the United States follows a two-party system. One of them is a Democratic Party and the other one is the Republican Party. True Democracy refers to the concept that no party can have the “power over people” and freewill will be given the utmost importance. Of course, this is not the case in the United States. There is a ruling Government and there are certain restrictions and boundaries within which an individual/ institution or corporate body is expected to act.
